Naturgy (Edemet)
Naturgy runs EDEMET, the distributor for western and central Panama City (plus Panamá Oeste and the central provinces). In our guide it serves Punta Pacífica, San Francisco, Clayton, Albrook, the Dos Mares area of El Dorado and, in Azuero, La Villa de Los Santos.

Owner

- No outstanding electricity debts with the distributor
- New property: occupancy permit or certificate from the municipality
Tenant
- The same as the owner (title deed or Public Registry certificate of the property)
- Copy of the lease signed with the owner
- Copy of the owner's ID
Foreigner (passport, lease, residence card)
- Valid passport or immigration card (Servicio Nacional de Migración) instead of the cédula
- If you cannot attend in person: original authorization letter (valid 6 months) with a copy of both people's IDs

Official rates
BTS rate in force from 1 September to 31 December 2026 (ASEP), with the general FET discount and the October 2026 fuel adjustment.

- 11 to 300 kWh: B/. 0.17624 per kWh
- 301 to 750 kWh: B/. 0.23177 per kWh (only the kWh in that block)
- Over 750 kWh: B/. 0.25027 per kWh
- FET discount (state subsidy): 30.62 % to 48.68 % up to 300 kWh; a smaller additional FET in some higher ranges
- Fuel adjustment (oct 2026): B/. -0.00882 per kWh (no FET applies)
Typical monthly cost: See the examples: a 2-bedroom apartment without A/C uses about 200 kWh; with air conditioning it exceeds 600 kWh a month.

Areas in our guide served by Naturgy
The whole San Francisco district (including Punta Pacífica and Paitilla) and the former Canal Zone areas on the Pacific side (Clayton, Albrook) are served by Naturgy. In El Dorado, only Dos Mares and the west side of Ricardo J. Alfaro. Outside the capital, its "Interior Zone" serves Coclé, Veraguas, Herrera and Los Santos (La Villa de Los Santos is listed as "Suburban").
