EDECHI (Naturgy Chiriquí)
Naturgy runs EDECHI, the electricity distributor for Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro. In our guide it serves Las Lomas (David district), which appears in its official concession-area table.

Owner
- Copy of the title deed or a Public Registry certificate (valid for 1 year) in the applicant's name
- Valid national ID (or passport / immigration card for foreigners)
- No outstanding electricity debts with the distributor
- New property: occupancy permit or certificate from the municipality
Tenant
- The same as the owner (title deed or Public Registry certificate of the property)
- Copy of the lease signed with the owner
- Copy of the owner's ID
Foreigner (passport, lease, residence card)
- Valid passport or immigration card (Servicio Nacional de Migración) instead of the cédula
- If you cannot attend in person: original authorization letter (valid 6 months) with a copy of both people's IDs

Official rates
BTS rate in force from 1 September to 31 December 2026 (ASEP), with the general FET discount and the October 2026 fuel adjustment.
- Fixed charge (includes the first 10 kWh): B/. 3.04 a month
- 11 to 300 kWh: B/. 0.19175 per kWh
- 301 to 750 kWh: B/. 0.25341 per kWh (only the kWh in that block)
- Over 750 kWh: B/. 0.27486 per kWh
- FET discount (state subsidy): 53.53 % to 75.64 % (FET + FTO for September 2026; the FTO may vary monthly) up to 300 kWh; 20.09 % to 36.07 % above 300 kWh
- Fuel adjustment (oct 2026): B/. -0.01175 per kWh (no FET applies)
Typical monthly cost: EDECHI's BTS rate has a higher energy charge than the capital's, but a larger FET discount up to 300 kWh: use the calculator with EDECHI selected.
